Ocotepeque
Single origin

Our coffees are all single origins. We do not blend coffees to save costs. Each of our coffee beans comes from a single growing area and from a single producer or cooperative. This way, every coffee tastes different depending on the producer, variety, processing method, and growing region. Embark on a journey of delicious tastes with us.

Personal relationships

It is important to us to build a trusting, long-term, and personal relationship with the coffee producers. For us, coffee beans are inseparable from the people who grow, harvest, and process the coffee. We want to give the producers themselves the opportunity to tell you their story. This is only possible with a personal relationship and close contact.

Producers make prices

We want a paradigm shift. Instead of following world market prices that aim to anonymize coffee to keep the price as low as possible, we are completely breaking away from that. With us, the coffee producers set their own prices. They are the masters of their unique coffee and know its value. Additionally, we plan with a long-term horizon. This provides producers with planning security and price stability.

8,25 € per kg
is the average price in 2024 producers receive from us for their coffee.
That is 225 % of the global market price and 210 % of the Fair Trade minimum price.
We are not Charity. We rather pay the producers for their extraordinary work and fantastic coffee.

Sustainable methods

Climate change and the rapid loss of biodiversity and natural areas are a global catastrophe. Particularly for the cultivation of sensitive Arabica plants, climate change brings incalculable risks. That is why we work with producers who rely on sustainable production methods - whether it is planting coffee in coexistence with forests, using coffee pulp as natural fertilizer, or building sophisticated wastewater treatment systems for coffee processing.
