What if you could taste the whole coffee tree?

Most of us only ever taste one part of the coffee plant: the roasted bean. But the leaf, the blossom and the fruit around the seed can all be brewed, and each one tells a different part of the story.

On Wednesday, 14 October, Yumeko from Gitesi Coffee Washing Station in Rwanda joins us at Warawul Coffee for a guided tasting flight through the whole coffee tree. Six cups, side by side, from leaf to cup.

Your host

Yumeko works at Gitesi Coffee Washing Station in Rwanda and is travelling to Berlin in October to host this unique event. Originally from Japan’s coffee growing region, Yumeko is exploring new possibilities for coffee beyond the bean, with the hope of co-creating a new coffee culture.
