Our new coffee shop in Neukölln with organic Honduran coffee
If you subscribe to the warawul.coffee newsletter or follow us on social media, then you already know that we have added 3 new organic coffees to our offering. Equally exciting, we are inaugurating our new physical location inside Kollektiv Bioase in the heart of Neukölln, Berlin.
Warawul X Cafesmo
Our new coffee offerings are co-branded with Hidardo Hernández, a fourth generation coffee farmer from the lush, mountainous region of southern Honduras.
Hidardo runs his farm, Finca Cascarita’s, alongside his mother Delmy. With his wife Mariela, he operates a single origin coffee and cacao shop in the town of Santa Rosa de Copán. In 2016, Hidardo founded CAFESMO, a cooperative of smallholder farmers focused on quality and sustainability. The cooperative now includes nearly 300 farms, all fair trade and organic certified. There’s much more and we can’t wait to sit down with Hidardo to chat about his deep passion for coffee and how it informs all the projects he is a part of.
We look forward to working with Hidardo for years to come and we hope to also work with more producers from CAFESMO.

Berlin’s newest specialty coffee shop
Kollektiv Bioase is an organic market located on busy Karl-Marx-Straße in the heart of Neukölln, almost exactly in the middle of where Brenda & Zoulka live, where Chris & Anabel live, and where we roast at Communal Coffee.
Starting on Saturday, 11th of May, we are taking over the small café area at Bioase! We are celebrating with an opening party next Saturday, 18th of May. Please do drop by if you are in Berlin.
We want this to be a place where you can grab a really good takeaway coffee, shop for coffee beans and gear, pick up online orders, or sit and enjoy a cappuccino, a V60 pourover, or an iced coffee along with a pastry or a light meal. It will be a place where you can learn more about the coffee producers we work with and try their amazing coffees for yourself. Finally, we also hope to host coffee tastings, talks with coffee producers, and other community events.
Find us at Kollektiv Bioase, Karl-Marx-Str. 162, from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 16:00 - on Wednesdays, we open at 10:00.
