We’re celebrating one year at our specialty coffee bar in Berlin

In May 2024, we opened the doors of our coffee corner at Bioase with the goal of serving high-quality specialty coffees while creating a place where people, stories, and cultures come together. This month, we proudly celebrate our first year and look back with joy on what has been—and forward to what is yet to come.

In the past year, we had the pleasure of sharing many special moments with you — from coffee brewing workshops and tastings to film screenings that highlighted the women producers we work with. Each event was an opportunity for us to share knowledge, open up new perspectives, and bring our guests closer to the origins of our coffee.

At warawul.coffee, one thing is at the heart of everything we do: our relationship with producers and the satisfaction of our customers. We place great value on fair, direct exchange and on bringing the stories behind every bean to the forefront. These connections are the foundation of our work and make every cup of coffee more meaningful.

And this is only the beginning. There’s much more to come—exciting new events, partnerships, and inspiring formats are on the way.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your support means a lot! We invite you to continue growing with us.

    A Tree on the Plate

Some weeks ago, one of our regulars visited us. Someone who often comes alone, usually quiet, with a notebook and a black fineliner.

As always, he ordered an espresso and a pain au chocolat. He sat, as usual, by the window, slowly sipping his coffee, eating at his own pace, flipping through his notebook from time to time. Just like always.

When he had left and we went to clear his plate, we paused for a moment. He had used his pen to draw a small tree directly on the plate.

No message, no name. Just a quiet image.

As a small keepsake, we took a photo.
