Bean Voyage Co-Founder Abhinav Khanal will be introducing the film project and talking about how the non-profit organization collaborates with women producers in Costa and Mexico to build thriving businesses in coffee.

What does it take to produce coffee in an industry that makes you invisible?

Each of the five films in the series represent a unique perspective on this question. By highlighting the stories and traditions that inspire them and the challenges that they face, the women all speak to the ways in which coffee is more than just a drink.

The documentary series, titled Stronger than Coffee, includes:

    • Soy cafetalera / I am a coffee farmer, Arleen Jiménez, Café de Altura – Micro Beneficio La Angostura León Cortés
    • El despegue / Taking flight, María Jiménez, Café de Altura – Micro Beneficio La Angostura León Cortés
    • Renacer del Café / Reborn from coffee, Ericka Mora Blanco, Café EyF
    • La niña del vestido amarillo / The girl in the yellow dress, Margoth Rivera, Café Aromas de La Legua- ASIPROFE
    • Cosechando sueños / Harvesting dreams, Tatiana Vargas, Legados Café Artesanal

All films are narrated in Spanish with English subtitles.
