Accuracy
Developed for espresso and pourover making, the Timemore Black Mirror Basic measures weights between 0.5 g and 2.0 g and for intervals of one-tenth of a gram. It is ideal to measure out grams of whole coffee beans or single doses for portafilters. Keep in mind that the 2.8 cm height makes it a bit too tall for most espresso machines. For measuring espresso output, we recommend the Timemore Black Mirror Mini.
Flow rate function
For added control over the brewing process, the Timemore Black Mirror includes a flow rate function to measure the pouring speed which makes this an ideal coffee scale for those who seek consistent brewing from cup to cup.
Rechargeable battery
The scale is equipped with a lithium ion battery that can be used for 15 continuous hours and can be recharged with a USB-C cable. In addition to the physical on/off switch, the scale also shuts off automatically after 3 minutes of inactivity.
Backlight LCD screen
The large LCD display makes it easy to read time, weight, and flow rate. The timer button and the tare button are located on opposite sides to prevent mistouches. The display is invisible when turned off.
Protective silicone pad
The slip- and heat-resistant silicone pad protects your coffee scale against high temperatures and it also means you don’t have to worry about stains, spills, or scratches on the surface of the weighing scale.
